I missed my period, but I haven't had sex since last month before my period. However right now I been changing my sleeping habits, along with i just found out my professor passed away as well as my friend. Do you think this is effecting my health?

Yes, I think that most likely the stress of losing the professor and your friend has likely caused you to miss a period.

As long as you had a normal period and haven't had sex since, pregnancy is pretty much impossible.

I would just give things some time. Most likely your regular periods will return. Best wishes.
