Im 19 years old and I missed my period im now about 3 weeks

Customer Question

Im 19 years old and I missed my period im now about 3 weeks late and still no period I took 3 pregnancy test and all came negative . I have felt nauseous no vomiting also felt tired and frequent urination. I read online sometimes the hormones produced in pregnancy aren't high enough to show on a home test so I have thought I could be pregnant. This morning I start cramping and started spotting a brownish color later this afternoon it started coming more of a bright red with blood clots. Its still light enough spotting to use the small pads and not get full. Although my period for this month shouldn't come for another week and a half .Is it just a really late period ? Or could it be a miscarriage?

My last menstrual cycle was in April we have unprotected sex 2-3 times a week. We either use a condom but mostly its the pull out method

Sorry for late reply and inconvenience.

Well as you describe, chances of pregnancy are less.

Your delayed periods can be associated with hormonal imbalance,PCOS,thyroid dysfunction.

You should consult your gynecologist doctor and further investigations like ultrasound ,blood work like Thyroid function test, LH ,FSH etc may be advised for further diagnosis and management.

Your current bleeding can be your period.

Sometimes delayed/late period can be light due to hormonal imbalance.

Otherwise ultrasound should be done.

Hope this helps.
