On Friday night 1/22, I had unprotected sex with an ex

Customer Question

Hello. On Friday night 1/22, I had unprotected sex with an ex girlfriend I had dated sever months ago. At the time we were dating she had been on birth control. Found out on Sunday that she had stopped taking her birth control pills a month ago. There was a good amount of alcohol involved so I am not sure if I had an orgasm or not. I am pretty sure I did not. She started her normal period on Sunday 1/24 and she also took plan B pill around 3 pm Sunday as well. This is extremely embarrassing and foolish, but I am worried about the possibility of pregnancy. I have already had one response from an OB Doctor on this site, but I would like a second opinion as well. Thank you.

The fact that she started her normal period 2 days after you had sex is excellent evidence that she did not get pregnant. Having a normal period at around the time it is expected is about as good as it gets. You don't have to worry that she is pregnant.

The plan B wasn't necessary, but perhaps she took it before her period started, so she didn't realize it wasn't necessary. Best regards.
