I have had a pain in my right breast. At first when pressed

Customer Question

I have had a pain in my right breast. At first when pressed on it felt like I might have pulled a muscle but then it started to move under my arm and around to my back. On my back shoulder it is more of a burning sensation. I do have some emphysema but I don't take anything for it and haven't for at least three years. Was thinking maybe I need to start it again. Never had that burning before. I'm not short of breath nor does it hurt to take a deep breath. Any ideas?

It could be something else coming on like shingles.

you often get pain before a rash.

Also, it could be a pulled muscle or cardiac.

I would get checked today for this

I am Dr. Chaithanya trying to help you today.

First of all, I want you to get an ECG done to rule out any cardiac cause. A chest X-ray would rule out any lung condition. Sometimes, gastritis pain can radiate to the back. Try with a Antacid if the pain decreases after taking it.

A breast examination for a diagnosis of fibroademona and for axillary limph nodes can be helpful.

Hope the information is helpful.

Not like to be a cardiac issue if it is at rest or a lung issue if no change with breathing. Probably muscle related or shingles.
