I can give you a better answer if you tell me something about your circumstances that cause you to ask the question. Thanks.

I was told by a Doctor today that I might have herpes but they have to do blood work to make sure I went in for a pat smear to see if I had a yeast infection they told me that I may so have diabetes.

I'm Dr Manos, obgyn. Herpes is a virus where type 1 usually is found in cold sores in the mouth. Type 2 is usually active in the genital area. The types may be found at either site but 1 mostly mouth and 2 in genital. Once the virus starts it will stay in small nerve endings near the two primary areas. Anything that stresses an individual may activate the blistery lesions. I used to get cold sores but none since I don't worry and focus on a area that starts with a pinching sensation.
