Customer Question

The last 2 months my period has changed to watery blood. I have had no changes in diet, exercise, I'm not on any birth control. I have not been on birth control since 2012. My body went nuts then! I went from easy peasy periods to very painful. It is still that way but if I workout it seems to help.

Watery blood indicates that your blood is not clotting adequately, possibly because you are bleeding a bit too heavily.

Normally, the blood during the period clots inside the uterus and vagina. some of it becomes watery again while other remain as clots - this form the typical menstrual blood that you see.

If you bleed more than normal, then there clotting factor in the blood are not adequate and the blood remains watery.

Exercise will help in contraction of the uterus and decrease in blood flow.

Please consult your obgyn for a checkup - you will need an ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries.
