Customer Question

I'm on cycle four of clomid, taking metformin, estrofem and folic acid tablets as well.
I had my CD14 follicle tracking scan today and the largest follicle was 11mm however my doctor said to still take the Ovidrel injection tonight. He said it takes 12 to 24 hours to release the egg after injection. Is that right? As I have read online it takes 36 to 40 hours?
Also, will those follicles be too small to even be released if I have the injection tonight?
He wasn't available to talk over the phone this afternoon so I'm quite confused.

Yes it takes 12-24 hours to release the egg. 11 is too small. Most clinics want to see 18-20. Sometimes 2 follicles.
