This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
Did youtr lymph nodes improve with the antibiotic?
If not, then you will need a biopsy to find out the possible causes like a resistant bacterial infection, autoimmune disorder, or even malignancies like lymphoma.
All these causes can affect your period.
Another common cause is hypothyroidism or low thyroid hormone state.
This can cause irregular or delayed periods.
Diabetes, stress, polycystic ovarian disease are other common causes.
These conditions should be looked into with blood tests like serum TSH, free T4, fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance test, prolactin, LH and FSH, testosterone levels, and a pelvic ultrasound.
It was my pleasure to help you today.
