Hello. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. Abnormal periods like this are very common around peri-menopause. Just because it's common, doesn't mean it's normal, though. If you are bleeding through more than a pad per hour and/or are feeling dizzy or lightheaded, you need to be seen right away. Otherwise, you should schedule an appointment with your gynecologist. They will do an exam and may do blood work and and ultrasound to see if there is an underlying cause that can be fixed or if it's due to the hormonal changes of peri-menopause. Can I help you further?
