Hi,
Symptoms:
- Extreme itchiness in vagina
- Skin around vagina peeling away, and leaving the area very reddish pink
- always have discharge, have to wear panty liners constantly
- Painful sometimes
- lumps form around the area
- feels swollen in vagina i think
- i have had this for 3 years i think, but have only been to the doctor once who said i have thrush and gave me fluconazole but it did not work so i went to a pharmacist who gave me a pessary but i dont think i wore it properly so it also did not work so i am not sure if is indeed thrush.
- never had sex before
- sometimes after my period i have brown discharge which smells really bad.
- i think i smell but i am not sure as no one has said anything to me

this is bacterial vaginosis
This is a disruption in the normal bacterial flora of the vagina
It is treated with oral metronidazole.
