If you are 70 years or over and have had two normal Pap smears in the last five years, you do not have to keep having Pap smears, unless you wish to do so.That is women can stop getting a Pap test at 70 years old if the results of all Pap tests in the last 5 years were normal. Although all women over 70 should still have a pelvic exam every year.
