I get error code P0014 on my 2011 Juke. 87,000 miles. The
The Camshaft Position Actuator is a device mounted to the front of the engine's Camshaft. It operates by oil pressure and a signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to advance valve timing (it opens the intake valves sooner) for better engine performance under acceleration. In this instance the valve timing has been over-advanced holding the valves open too long. The PCM recognizes this fault and turns on the Check Engine Light and sets the trouble code. The vehicle's driver may notice engine performance problems. The problem could be related to a faulty Camshaft Position Actuator, too much oil flow from the actuator for too long a period of time, wiring problems, etc. The valve timing system is very sophisticated and needs to be fully diagnosed by a qualified repair facility. I want to have it fixed. When I brought it into the dealership they ignored the code and says the juke was 2 qts low on oil?!!! … read more
