That means you need a steering lock control unit. I have a video that may help get the car started. Just give me a few. I just woke up

this is what exactly happens with my car. but where do i hammer?
Customer reply replied 16 days ago
do i need to remove plastic cover below steering?
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 16 days ago

The Steering lock control unit is just off to the right side of the steering column. You may want to remove that lower part of the drivers side dash to get better room

This trick works most of the time. But not all the time. So if it works .. Great!! but you will still need to replace the steering lock control unit cause this issue may happen again. If it doesn't work, then you will need to replace the steering lock control unit anyway to resolve your issue. But this is why the car is not starting.

Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 16 days ago

Yeah... That is where the control unit is located on the side of the steering column. Could be on the left on yours..

Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 16 days ago

it doesn’t work
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 15 days ago

As I said, it works most of the time, but not all the time. So if the tapping trick does not work, it still will need to be replaced to resolve your issue.
