JA: Have you metered out the ignition system?
Customer: Not familiar with that. I'm just a do it yourself guy.
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: Frontier 1999
JA: Are you fixing your Frontier yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Checked all fuses related to fuel system/ignition. About to check and make sure battery and charging system are good.

the first thing that you need to do is a fuel pressure test

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
How do i do that?
Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

you need a fuel pressure gauge and hook it up to the fuel pressure test port on the injector rail. turn the key on and see what the pressure reads

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I don't have a garage and own very basic tools.
Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

ok, well you can rent a fuel pressure gauge from autozone

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Nearest AutoZone is 40 miles away. I do not know where the injector rail or the test port are at.
Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

it can be any part store

what size engine?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
It's a 6 cylinder. Not sure if that's the answer you need.
Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

ok

Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

ok on a six-cylinder you have to get a fuel pressure gauge kit with tee fittings and then disconnect the fuel filter lines and tee the gauge into there

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Unless I have a picture or a diagram to refer to I'm completely lost.
Expert:  david craig replied 7 months ago.

ok, I think your best bet is to take it to a shop that has all the proper equipment and knowledge.

That's the plan. Thanks for your input.
