I'd like to know if jake is still available? he helped me with a problem with my Nissan frontier about three years ago and I have another problem I cant get solved.

MY Nissan frontier runs fine when it's cold but after it warms up after a while it looses power and cuts off usually at stop lights. And the engine light comes on. I've had a mechanic replace sensors so he says but the problem is still reoccurring.

you know what codes it’s showing when the engine light comes on?When you say loses power, does it stall or just bog when you try to accelerate?

im not sure about the codes but stalls out and usually does not allow acceleration

Well, codes would be extremely helpful if the service engine light is on for a diagnostic starting point.I will say though with those symptoms that it sounds a lot like a distributor issue where it leaks oil internally.Has it been expected?Which engine do you have? 4 or 6 cylinder?

Thanks, ***** ***** want to relay my information to your mechanic and get back with me I will be happy to wait for his responses.I think the distributor needs to be inspector for starters and I also would like to know what codes he sees and what he replaced.Thanks.
