Random misfire and noise coming from supercharger

Mechanic's Assistant: How many miles are on the car? Is it a steady misfire? Or random?

66,000 came into my shop a couple of days ago rough idle with random misfires on all cylinders and idling rough. Sat for a couple days. started it this morning and idled fine but noise from supercharger. Noticed belt was very tight so took some tension out. still noisy. Took it for a drive and as soon as I got on it hard it started misfiring again.

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model of your '66 Nissan?

Xterra

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Xterra yourself? What have you tried so far?

Its a customers car. He said he replaced the plugs. the wires look good. Cap and rotor look good as well

P300 and not sure about knock sensor but its knock senzor voltage high. Checkdd voltage at plug and got 5 volts. No continuity through sensor. It is a 2004. Will the knock sensor cause a random misfirs?
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 8 months ago

This code is normally caused be a bad distributor. You get this code when the signal plate in the distributor shifts and is not lined up for the Optical sensor to read engine position. So it fires at the wrong time causing the P0300 code. Distributors are known to cause this code as well as a Ignition Primary code if you get that also.

So when it comes to distributors, I always suggest to customers to get the part from the dealer. After Market Distributors never work right.

At the same time, you will need a timing light to set your timing after you replace the Distributor.

You haven't answered my question about whether the knock sesor can cause a random misfire. The knock sensor tested bad.
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 8 months ago
Oh.. sure.. the vibration of the misfire can cause a knock sensor code

Are you not reading my questios or what? I know a misfire can cause a knock sensor code. As I stated earlier, the knock sensor IS BAD. CAN THE KNOCK SENSOR CAUSE A RANDOM MISFIRE DUE TO THE KNOCK SENSOR SIGNAL CONFUSING THE ECM INTO MISTAKINGLY RETARDING THE TIMING?
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I paid 20.00 for this and you still haven't answered my question.
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 8 months ago

No.. a Knock sensor will not cause a Misfire .. The knock sensor if bad, won't even turn on the Service Engine Soon light
