Hey there, thanks for the question.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Welcome
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
Generally when you see an overheating issue when idling its an airflow issud or a lack of coolant circulation from an air pocket.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I'm not by the vehicle
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
if it was an air pocket, you would likely be able to get it to cool the engine reving it at idle though.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
When I'm driving it cools down only when I stop it hests
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
Then its most likely the fans. If both fans dont run with the engine warmed up and the AC on, then you have a fan issue.
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
You can test the fans by running the auto active test on the IPDM.
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
How do I do that
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
Let me get you the procedure, one moment.
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (IPDM E/R)Diagnosis DescriptionAUTO ACTIVE TESTDescription
In auto active test mode, the IPDM E/R sends a drive signal to the following systems to check their operation.
Oil pressure warning lamp
Front wiper (LO, HI)
Parking lamps
License plate lamps
Tail lamps
Front fog lamps (if equipped)
Headlamps (LO, HI)
A/C compressor (magnet clutch)
Cooling fans
Operation Procedure
Close the hood and lift the wiper arms from the windshield. (Prevent windshield damage due to wiper operation)
NOTE:
When auto active test is performed with hood opened, sprinkle water on windshield beforehand.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
Turn the ignition switch ON, and within 20 seconds, press the front door switch LH 10 times. Then turn the ignition switch OFF.
CAUTION:
Close front door RH.
Turn the ignition switch ON within 10 seconds. After that the horn sounds once and the auto active test starts.
The oil pressure warning lamp starts blinking when the auto active test starts.
After a series of the following operations is repeated 3 times, auto active test is completed.
NOTE:
When auto active test mode has to be cancelled halfway through test, turn ignition switch OFF.

How do I know results
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Could dude be out the car has been parked for a while
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Fuse
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I was thinking maybe a fuse is out because ac blows warm until I drive also
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
if the auto active test kicks on the fans it will rule out any possible fuse issue.
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
The ac will blow warm with no fan operation because the condensor is not cool. so very likely the fan at this point
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Where would the fuse be
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
In the IPDM under the hood
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
I just double checked the service manual. on this year the fusible linksfor the fan are in the little fusible libk box in front of the IPDM by passengers side firewall behind battery.
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
They are both 40a links
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I will check it out
Expert:  Jake replied 2 months ago.
K, let me kow if you need anything else please.
