JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: Nissan pathfinder 2003
JA: Are you fixing your Pathfinder yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Looks like it is a little low on transmission fluid but I am a 67 year woman with heart trouble and can't work on it.
JA: When was the last time your transmission fluid was checked? Changed?
Customer: Not sure
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

It has 250,000 miles on the car but motor is still good.
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 2 months ago.

Ok, this is usually caused by a plugged cat converter in the exhaust, and with 25ok miles, it is time to be changed, this can be verified by having an exhaust back pressure test done on the exhaust, most shops charge about 30 dollars to do this test, if the backpressure is any more than 1 psi, then the cat converter is plugged and will need to be replaced,Tim
