Customer Question

The key is stuck and won't come out of the ignition.
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: I can the steering wheel fine and the key is good. I also tried putting it in drive and then pushing it up to park somewhat forcefully to see if it will let the key go, but it is really stuck this time. It has done this to us in the past but after a while it usually comes out.
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 2001 Nissan Altima
JA: Are you fixing your Altima yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I tried to put some WD40 in the gear shift where you press in the button. Then I have tried putting it into drive 2 then forcefully pushing it into drive to see if it will release. No luck so far.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
