There is a little key on the dash that came and my car won't start at all. I have put key fob in hole and held
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: Yes I have 2 one was dead and other wasn't and it still didn't work. The little key went away but car wouldn't start. I held key to ignition and still wouldn't come on.
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 2009 Nissan Alitima
JA: Are you fixing your Altima yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No I went to store and it started fine but when I came back out to

When you try to start the car, do you have a Yellow key light on?

That is a indication of Steering lock control unit failure. How handy are you ? I have a trick that may be able to get the car started, but the steering lock control unit would still need to be replaced..

Ok.. Well the vehicle will need to have the Steering lock control unit replaced for your issue. That is your problem if you had a Yellow Key light, and I am sure the steering wheel was not locked.
