My Juke battery was dead and my auto recovery started it

Customer Question

My Juke battery was dead and my auto recovery started it with jump leads. Ever since the malfunction light has appeared on the dashboard
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: No idea where they are. The bulbs seem fine though
JA: What year is your JUKE?
Customer: 2014
JA: Are you fixing your JUKE yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am only concerned about the light being on and it only happened after the jump lead start so I haven't tried anything so far.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so

Hello, I'm Brandon - Nissan tech.

The malfunction light is telling there is a sensor that is out of specifications. In your case it could be a weak ignition due to a dead battery. I would recommend to scan your vehicle with an OBD2 scanner. The scan will take only under 10 minutes and it will give the tech an idea what is really wrong with the vehicle. Autozone could also scan it for you for free if you prefer. They also sell the scanner and you could do it yourself.

Please rate me positive, thank you. let me know if you have further questions.
