Customer Question

my car is a 2005 nissan max, after an hour or so the trenny kicks hard, and the engine accelerates fast, is that part of the catalytic converter?
JA: Has the vehicle been "scoped out"?
Customer: it has been scoped out 2/3 times by the dealership, they can't seem to find the problem
JA: What is the model of your '05 Nissan?
Customer: maxima 3.5
JA: Are you fixing your Maxima yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: no I'm looking to get it fixed
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: the tranny has been flushed, and the mechanic pointed out that there is really thick gook like substance from part of the tranny

the catalytic convertor is part of the exhaust system. when the transmission shifts hard do you know what gears. say starting from a light from 1-2 or more inthe higher gears like 3-4
