Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi, I am Mike, welcome. I'm reviewing your question.
So you have power at the red wire?
Actually, I think it reverses polarity, so the gray wire can be hot, too. Disconnect the connector at the motor, jump 12 volts to the where the red wire went, pin 2 and ground the pin 3 where the gray wire went and let me know if the motor trys to move, make a noise or the window roll up and down, then switch the leads and test the same in the other direction and let me know what happens.
Then the motor is bad.
Good question. See if you can grab the window and pull it up. If so, once you get it up duct tape it so it will stay up.
If there is nothing there to grab onto, maybe somewhere near the bottom they is a spot to stick something in and pry up enough on the window until you can grab it, but use something that won't break the glass, like plastic or wood, not metal.
See if you can pry up on the glass through the bottom some how.
Ouch! I don't know what to tell you.
I would wait until tomorrow and call a body shop up and ask them how they roll up windows when the motor is dead, maybe they can tell you how they do it.
It's late here and I am going to bed, let me know tomorrow, what they say.
What did they say?
