Hey how are you

1- have you checked oil , is milky color, are you mixing coolant oil ?

2- are the coolant fans running & if they are running are they running fast or slow ?

3- is the radiator shroud around the fan still there

4- how did you check the water pump ?

5- at idle you said temp is good & on the road good, so when is it hot ?

6- are you using coolant are you having to add to it

7- any pressure build up ,can you squeeze the water hose by hand ,is thermostat getting stuck at times or you said replaced new ?

Please let me know

Thank You

Fans are running at normal speed. No breaching normal temp at idle and goes to hot on the road and heat gets cool. Checked water pump by removing and checking impellers and making sure timing chain was on gear properly to drive pressure build up and shroud is properly installed

heats gets cool going down the road , tells me heater core is clogged up and maybe leaking

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Chad the vehicle overheats on the road with the heat off as well.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Heat is extremely hot at idle or slow driving. If the heater core was blocked I would not have great heat at idle either. The heat is going cool because of the operating temp climbing too high.

well man i don't know on this one ,all works but still overheat

beginning of a head gasket not enough to build pressure, you would think ,it will evaporate it thru the exhaust but it is not

Anyone else out there have any ideas
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 11 months ago.

yes lt will have great heat at idle , if clogged the coolant flow will be faster going down the road so you will start having less heat

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 11 months ago.

but hey what do i know :)

I will open up the question for you for another expert

good luck to you

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I understand the heat possibly but I have never seen a vehicle temp.climb like this due to a heater core ?
