The transfer case on the 2007 murano can't be removed by it self. It has to come out along with the entire engine, transmission, transfer case assembly. This is done through the bottom of the vehicle and it nearly impossible without a lift.

Do you have a lift?

It shouldn't be terribly hard if you have a lift. You pretty much just unbolt everything that goes between the engine and the body and then drop the entire engine cradle out the bottom. You will need a cradle jack or a good rolling cart- or you could drop it out on the ground, but it's slightly more difficult.

It's a 10.8 hour job so if it's your first time I would expect it to take two days.
