JA: Do you have the trouble code? Do you have a code reader or scan tool?
Customer: No
JA: Not a problem. You can work with the Nissan Mechanic to figure that out. What is the model of your '06 Nissan?
Customer: Nissan Sentra 1.8 s
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Check oil ,all the fluids and make sure the gas cap was closely tide

Customer: No I hardly drive it take verygood care of it

The service engine light can come on for a couple hundred reasons- most of the time it is caused by an emissions related issue, but occasionally it can be transmission, engine, and even air bag related.

The first step to nailing it down will be to get it scanned for codes. Do you think you could run it by a parts store and have the codes scanned? Most parts stores offer this for free.
