speedometer and tachometer sticking. both are analog needles and if you physically tap on the face they move. 2011 Pathfinder.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes myself. nothing thus far. any suggestions? WD40?
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

Hey there, thanks for the question.My name is***** help you with this.Are you having any issues other than the gauges? Difficulty starting or anything? Are the gauges fluttering when the truck is first started?

Every once in awhile we get one brought I where the needles are off. Usually they are below 0 or wrapped around past max speed or RPM's.What we do is just use a strong magnet, similar to a speaker magnet and hold it against the gauge to pull it back and zero it out and reset it.
