It only does it sitting still in traffic

When in drive the torque converter is going to heat up trans fluid. How many miles on the fluid? Have you tried a fluid exchange?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have no idea how many miles was on old fluid. I did a drain and fill today and it's still getting to hot. Would you suggest me getting an aftermarket trans cooler?
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.
You could get one, but here must be an underlying issue if it's still overheating worth fresh full fluid. Could be a solenoid issue not allowing adequate fluid flow. You need to find out fairly quickly as the best way to ruin a transmission is to let it overheat.

Ok thank you. I guess I'll have to take it to a mechanic

What's the solenoid called
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.
It's a fluid pressure solenoid that controls fluid flow.
