Issue is that the key won't turn, I also have no power to

Customer Question

Hi, issue is that the key won't turn, I also have no power to anything, lights, doors, nothing. I thought it might need a boost, although I have a brand new battery in there, however without being able to turn the key, I can't boost. Any ideas what could be wrong?
JA: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate?
Customer: There is no power right now.
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 2012 armada
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Tried the steering wheel shift, tried popping it in neutral to eliminate the shifter lock, now it's halfway down my driveway blocking my other car, and still, no power, no turnable key.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I drove home last night around 11:30 pm and it worked just fine then.

Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

Did you try jump starting the truck? If the head lights do not come on, you either have dead battery or a poor connection on the battery.

Let me know what you find.

The key won't turn, so I can't give it a jump. But I did try.

Does the head lights turn on?

When you attempted to jump start the truck, did the head lights come on? Cause the fact that they don't come on, indicates a dead battery or battery connection issue.

If you have a intelligent key type of ignition, if the battery is dead or if you have a poor battery connection the ignition won't turn due to low battery voltage.

Well, the battery is less that 6 months old, so I don't think it's dead, but I can try to boost again.

Something could have been left on that drained it.
