Customer Question

I just put a new engine in a 2008 Armada. The idle is to high at 1500 rpm. Is there a idle relearn procedure.

Hello, I would like to see if I could assist you today. There is an idle relearn procedure. The easiest and fastest way is to use a fully functional scan tool, there will be an option to relearn idle.

There is a manual relearn procedure that is very long and extremely difficult to get right (just flat out seems to never work).

If you don't have access to a scan tool you should be able to stop by any shop to have the idle relearn performed, should take them less than five minutes.

If you go into the PCM, it should be under "special functions".
