Customer Question

All the motors in my 2004 350z convertible
Seem to be working
The roof itself needs 200 lads of force to close it
The roof is too far forward it seems
I've loosened all the nuts to fit it and even with all the nuts loose I can't close it
Now what to do????!

can you elaborate on what you mean by saying it won't close? are you saying the rear cover won't fully close when the top is retracted? or that the top wont fully close to the windshield?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can't pull it closed
You need 200 lbs of force to pull and line it up all at same time
No matter how I bolt it on the frame of car it doesn't seem to go into place
I hv two roofs here with no fiscal damage so why can't this line up
When I tighten the roof as far back as possible it is almost impossible to pull roof closed and is over hanging toward the windshield almost half inch

You replaced the COMPLETE roofs correct? not just the skin? You just tighten the front hinge bolts first which pulls the top outward till the outside edge of the top sits flush with the imprint in the old weather stripping at the door jam. Then tighten the one nut in the storage bay then the two bolts on the body colored bracket. You should not need additional adjustments after that with a complete roof replacement.
