Pathfinder: Jay, I have a 2001 pathfinder that over accelerated

Customer Question

Hi Jay,
I have a 2001 pathfinder that over accelerated due to a stuck accelerator cable for about 3 mins. I turned the key off to stop the engine. Now, it wont start-it cranks ok and almost start but it does not quite get to start. I sprayed starting fuel in the throttle body but still wont start. Perplexing... Help

the first thing I would do is have a compression test carried out to ensure no mechanical damage has occurred
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
is the compression test on all six cylinders (sparkplugs),and what is the right compression range for this car?
Expert:  Kevin replied 1 year ago.
on all 6 let me know the readings somewhere around 120 psi
