Will i start if you put a jumper pack on it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It cranks over fine, alomost wants to start I pulled a spark plug and it is flooded, but I do have spark. I already tried a coolant temp sensor, new plugs, compression test showed good. I pushed it into my shop and after about 10 minutes it started ran rough till it cleared itself oout. I am a mechanic just stumped on this one. It just seems as if enigne floods itself wehn sitting outside in cold ver night.

Did you check the coolant level at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All fluid levels are fine, and I scanned for codes, and all is good.
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

Did you make sure it had spark?

Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

it could have been flooding out, because when you were cranking the engine when cold it had no spark? did you check that?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
as I said in first response it has spark, I think something is telling it to feed to much fuel.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no i pefer to chat on here not on phone.
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

The only enrichment it has is cold start enrichment.

Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

if you think it's an enrichment issue, you can try things like unplugging the MAF and starting when cold and see if it starts.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok i will try maf and let you no
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

but normally what we see on cold start issues that are NOT battery related, are either a fluid leak in the cylinder (HG), or no spark issues from cam sensors.

or lastly, sometimes we issues with the ECM when they get too cold. You can warm when with a hair dryer and it will fire up. When this is the case though you don't generally have fuel and spark at the time.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did a cylinder leak down and HG is ok
Expert:  Jake replied 1 year ago.

did you get a chance to try the MAF trick?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I put in MAF now it has to sit outside overnight to no if it worked.

Gotcha, if it doesn't start on the first try tomorrow.

Try pressing the gas pedal down halfway and trying it again.
