Customer Question

I drive my 96 Pathfinder 20 or 30 miles, then it drops out of overdrive and will not re engage. Do you think that the overdrive relay could be bad?

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

In most cases if the problem you are describing with loosing overdrive is an electronic concern the computer will detect it and set and store a fault code and or codes. In order to determine the cause the first thing you need to do is to have the computer system scanned to see if there are any fault codes setting. Get the scan done and Post back with the results and we can work from there.
