Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

Is the steering wheel locked? Meaning when the car is off can you turn the steering wheel?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Car is in limp mode. The only option on the key fob that is recognized is to open the trunk. Keyless entry does not work nor does the ignition. Anti theft light blinks fast on the dash

Ok.. But can you tell me if the steering wheel is locked?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No. It is not locked
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.

Thank you. That is your issue. The steering lock control unit is locking you out cause it never completed the shut down cycle since the wheel did not lock. Watch this video and see if you can get the car to start.

Have been tapping the box. Is there any sequence to this method such as brake pedal etc??
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.

I keep my foot on the brake and while tapping the control unit with a small hammer, I am tapping the start button

Did that trick work to start your car?
