I currently have a 2010 nissan cube that was hit from the back and the rear gate will not open and the front fenders are bent driver side is at the wind shield post and passenger is at the top of the fender in the high point of ridge. My question is does this type of car have a design to absorb impact throughout the structure of the car?

all unibody cars have these crumple zones that absorb impact hits to protect the occupants. you can get hit from the rear and have front end damage such as your situation. the bodies are designed to act this way for safety. the insurance companies know this and should reflect this on there estimates.
