On my 2010 Xterra Pro, the front passenger floor mat has melted in a corner. The floor does not appear hot. What's going on?!

Did you have any exhaust work done? Like a Catt Converter or anything?

Unknown re cat/exhaust work. Truck purchased about 3 months ago.

It's very odd to see this. The only thing that would cause this is if the truck had exhaust work done and it's to close to the floor.

Since the truck is new to you, I would have this inspected asap. This type of condition if the exhaust is to close could start a fire.

That is the only thing that would cause this.

Other than putting the mat on something and it starting to melt and throwing it back into the car.
