Greetings Sir or Madam and welcome to JA! I will do my very best to assist you with your problem.
HI there!
How many miles on the car?

With such low miles I would have it checked for any signs of oil leaks.
It is common to be confused with rubber.
If the oil has been changed recently, this could be the problem. This is where I would start.

Wouldn' t there be some trace of oil on the ground, on the mud flaps, or the inside hood of the car?
Expert:  Mike V. replied 5 years ago.
I would think it may be burning off on the exhaust and not leaving a puddle or trace. Plus there is a shield under the engine, it could possibly be collecting there.
IF it were rubber, I think you would be hearing a belt squeal as well.
