I have a 2000 nissan maxima and my speedometer is not working

Customer Question

I have a 2000 nissan maxima and my speedometer is not working and I took it to the dealer and they told me that I need a speed sensor. I replaced the speed sensor but the problem still persist. On the dash, I have tha ABS light on as well with "check engine" light. Any idea of what might be wrong?

I do not know but several places indicate it a speed sensor

I took to another mechanic and autozone and their diagnostic is pointing to speed sensor I am wondering if there is anyother thing such as relays that could be the issue. How about the abs speed sensors, could they have anything to do with the speedometer not working?
