NissanQuest: disable..securitysystem..The alarm went..unlocked

Customer Question

Nissan Quest 2002-How to disable the vehicle security system?

The alarm went off all by itself. I turned the key and locked-unlocked the door

and the alarm stopped. However, the security light is blinking, all of the gauges

go nuts periodically (all by themselves). When I turn the key inside the ignition

nothing happens, no contact, no lights on, nothing. The power windows & the locks

don't work. I cannot start the car, the SECURITY light blinks periodically.

I've tried disconnecting the battery, put it back on, it does not help.

Thanks, Mike

Hello and thank you for using

The factory alarm system will not keep the engine from turning over. It kills injector pulse, the engine would just crank and not start. If your power windows aren't working and you get nothing when you turn the ignition, then I would check fuses and fusible links. That could more like be your problem.

If you have any more questions on this, please feel free to ask. Thanks Jay!
