Resolved Question:

2005 Frontier Won't start. Battery cranks, starter engages but engine won't fire. Last time it started was weak so checked battery and alternator, both were fine. Is this ignition or fuel injector problem

Hello and thank you for using

A weak battery, when trying to start sometimes can erase the programing for the key. Try another key, and if that doesn't work, it may need to go to the dealer to have them check and verify that the key program was cleared. I have seen that happen, I can not count how many times!

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks Jay!

I will try that with my spare key. Would this be considered a powertrain warranty issue?
Expert:  Jay replied 8 years ago.

No it would not. That would be under the Basic warranty 3 years or 36k miles.

Thanks Jay!
