Start the car... I'm trying to use the key to start it mechanically so I can program a new keyLike if the fob wasnt working (say I dropped my keys in the pool), I would i start my car using the key inside the fob

insert the Intelligent Key fob into the key port on the lower left dash panel, and then start the engine.

There is no port on the lower left. It's a 2016 qx60

Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position.
2. Firmly apply the foot brake.
3. Touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent Key,
and a chime will sound.
4. Within 10 seconds after the chime sounds, push
the ignition switch while depressing the brake pedal and the engine will start.Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position.

No, that's not what I'm asking ... Ok inside the fob, is a physical key right? Well where is the slot to put that key into? ... if I run over the key fob with a truck 10 times the fob would be destroyed. It would not work to start the car. The key would still work, but where do I put the key in the car

The actual key is only for the locks. The starting system is completely electronic.
