Its not getting any gas
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: It was starting just fine until about a month ago it ran out of gas and ever since then its been losing power and gas
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 1998 infiniti i30
JA: Are you fixing your I30 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes i am i havent tried anything yet
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Its also making a loud noise when driving

Hey how are you

1- have you changed fuel filter: i sent you picture location , change if you have not

2- checke fuel pressure are you getting 34 psi

Fuel Pressure

With Regulator Vacuum Hose Connected 235 kPa (34 psi)

With Regulator Vacuum Hose Disconnected 294 kPa (43 psi)

3- running out of gas could have sucked debris from bottom tank and ruined pump

4- i cant hear the loud noise unfortunatley to tell , but maybe fuel pump is buzzing higher than normal they do that when bad , can hear it more inside the cabin than outside
