Customer Question

My wife jumped our 2012 QX-56 off backwards... Or tried to. Car won't do anything... Dead. Zero lights on the dash. Is there a fuse I can replace or surge protector possible that's blown? Any help would be appreciated

Hello, chances are the main fuse link at the battry + terminal is blown, That termianl contains the fuse link and is changed out as an assembly from dealer parts. I dont recommend a bypass as then you have no fuse protection but you can do what you can to connect the 2 nuts on either side of the fuse link with something metal and the vehicle should come back to life, One needs to change the terminal end as a unit here are links showing this and wording below form the manual

1.Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
2.Remove cover of battery positive terminal.
3.Remove harness mounting nut and battery terminal with fusible link mounting nut.
4.Disconnect harness connector and remove battery terminal with fusible link.
