You have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act which are stronger than any warranty. If the car has major issues after this odometer reading, then it is likely the car needs repair at the cost of the dealer. You should get an estimate and give this to the dealer and point out their obligations. If they refuse you could take them to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal
