I am the legal owner of a car . Now my ex partner when I brought it registered it in her name when it was supposed to be in my name . And since we split up not long after this won't hand it back saying that it's her car and she paid me cash for it . I have spoken with the police and provided them with proof of purchase that the car was sold to me but because she has told them that she owns the car and there were agreements made they aren't sure what they can do . There are no agreements and theres no money exchanged hands for it in cash because she was living in my house and on a domestic purpose benefit so she didn't have any money so as she has possession of my car what can I do to get it back .
