Auckland, New Zealand. A court date has been set for 1st
A court date has been set for 1st April 2020 at Auckland District Court regarding a parking infringement from February 2019. We initially pled Not Guilty as we parked in an area marked as Authorised on Eden Park website for that particular day/date/time. There have been various Court dates set and reset and the next date is April 1st 2020. However, I now want to pay the fine as it is now over a year since the parking infringement was issued. The prosecuting authority (Auckland Transport) have said we cant pay the fine because the matter is before the Court and we have to wait for a Judgement to be made. Is this correct? Why cant we pay the fine and close the matter, as it has been going on for more than a year. Various dates have been set and reset. We now just want to pay the fine and move on. … read more
