Dispute over pay. New zealand. Just various conversations…

Good evening,I have a query for you on which I’d like some advice on the best course of action to take. I work for a marketing company as a general manager and as a part of my remuneration package I am paid a percentage of company revenue as commission. About two years ago the company owner (he is the sole owner of the limited liability company) said that he could not afford to pay my commission that month and that he would pay it back soon. I said no worries, kept a record of it and waited. For a few moths the debt to me built up, he paid some of the arrears in chunks but it kept increasing. He began paying down the debt by way of a fixed sum every week to me but I was earning commission faster than he was paying me back. Today the debt stands at about $60,000.When we went into lockdown he stopped paying back the debt. Because of how long this has gone on for I want this sorted but I am concerned that if the company goes under I will not see any of my money.He personally has had the money to pay me back for years but has not done so. I know this because he always brags about how much gold, silver and bitcoin he has. I also manage the company finances, he spends company money on personal items and siphons the money away to his personal accounts then says the business has no money to pay me back.1.What is the best way to get the money in full from him?
2.If the business goes under is there anyway that I could pursue him for the money personally?
3.Should I ask him to personally guarantee the debt in some way?
4.Is there anything I can do to build a better safety net for if I have to fight this if the company goes under?I’d appreciate any advice on this situation, please ask away if there is anything else you would like to know.
