Sorry, I pressed send before explaining. I am currently employed by a firm where the work environment is no longer suitable for me to remain: bullying and very unprofessional. I have been there for 2 1/2 years and in over 35 years of being employed in this industry I have not come across anything like it. The situation is such that I can longer cannot wait to find further employment so have decided to resign. The firm may, and has done in the past, become difficult, so my question is if I resigned on 23 November and my last day would be on 21 December (4 weeks notice),as I am currently entitled to 21 days holiday, will the statutory holidays over the Christmas/New Year period be added on to my 21 days? Reason I ask is they are likely to reject that. One more question: in the past when things haven't gone right and people give notice, the last 4 weeks can be made very unpleasant. Should this happen, do I just have to put up with it or is there something I can do. In relation to bullying and unpleasant environment, this firm is owned by a husband and wife - the wife being the Practice Manager. So there is nowhere to raise the issues.
