I have a query regarding an overseas trip I had booked which has been postponed due to COVID19. T&C's for the trip explain no refund and non transferrable. I am trying to decipher if this is worth getting a lawyer involved. My trip has so far cost me in the vicinty of $16,000. It has now been postponed to March 21 and they have advised I could incur extra charges now due to what has happened with the pandemic situation worldwide. I have advised I cannot afford any further expenses. They have advised today that if the trip cannot go ahead in March of 21 it will be pushed out again. The company is in no position to be refunding money as all of their suppliers have offered deferment, not refund. I cannot claim through my insurance as it had the pandemic exclusion clause in it. I am in Invercargill. … read more
